Prof. Luqman Chuah Abdullah

Biography: Professor Dr. Luqman Chuah Abdullah has obtained his B.E. degree in Chemical Engineering, from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. His research areas include chemical processing, material engineering (polymers and nanomaterials), oleochemical and environmental engineering. He is currently a Professor at the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). As an active researcher, he has published more than 600 publications of journals, proceedings, books, and technical articles in the various fields of chemical, material, and environmental engineering. He was awarded with Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM) by the Academic of Science Malaysia (ASM), 2013; Malaysia Rising Star Award by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, and was selected as the World's Top 2% Scientists in categories of Career-Long Citation Indexed and Citation Impact in Single calendar Year, 2019, Stanford University, USA. He is currently Editor in Chief of Pertanika Journal of Science and Technology and Editorial Member of Journal of Chemistry, Hindawi Publishing Corporation.

Prof. Liang Guo

Biography: Guo Liang, Professor, doctoral Supervisor. In 2017, he was selected as the first "International clean Energy Talents" program in China, and was awarded the excellent academic thesis Advisor of Shandong Province for many times. He has carried out visiting study and collaborative research in the United Kingdom, Sweden and the United States. He has presided over 3 national funds, 3 provincial and ministerial funds, and 7 Qingdao Science and technology programs. He has published more than 90 papers as the first or corresponding author, including more than 80 SCI papers; The total number of citations to SCI papers is more than 4800 times, H-index=39. He has won the second prize of Marine Engineering Science and technology, the 15th "Tiantai Outstanding Talent Award, the third" Furong Students "academic research Award, the first" Sangde Environmental Award "Grand Prize" and so on.
Assoc. Prof. Rongkui Su
Central South University of Forestry and Technology, China
Biography: Rongkui Su, Doctor, Postdoctoral Researcher, Professor, and long-term researcher in the field of environmental functional materials for pollution reduction and carbon mitigation, as well as the resource utilization of agricultural and forestry waste. He has led over 10 national and provincial-level research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Youth Program), the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the Hunan Provincial Natural Science Foundation. He has published over 40 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author, including 2 papers in high-impact journals (NI-index), 4 ESI Highly Cited Papers, and 1 Hot Paper. He has authored a monograph and holds 10 authorized patents and 15 registered software copyrights. He serves as a reviewer for internationally renowned journals such as Chemical Communications and Chemical Engineering Journal, as well as a Youth Editorial Board member for Rare Metals, Petroleum Refining & Petrochemicals, and Ecology and Rural Environment Journal. He is also a guest editor for SCI journals like IJERPH and Water, and has been invited as a visiting scholar at Peking University and Yale University.

Prof. Ahmad Zuhairi Abdullah

Biography: Professor Dr Ahmad Zuhairi Abdullahreceived his B. Tech (Hons), MSc, and PhD in 1995, 2000, and 2004, respectively. He was the Deputy Dean (Industry and Community Network) at the School of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia between 2010-2012 and Deputy Dean (Research and Postgraduate Studies) between 2013-2018 and the dean in 2022-2024. He is registered as a Professional Technologist at Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT), a Fellow Member of Akademi Sains Malaysia and Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM), and a Life member of the Malaysian Oil Scientists and Technologists’ Association (MOSTA). He is regularly appointed as an MBOT accreditation auditor and as a program’s external examiner for many academic programs in different Malaysian universities. His research works mostly involve the use of ordered porous catalytic materials in oleochemical reactions, renewable energy, waste treatment, and waste valorization. He has nearly 300 refereed publications in journals and book/book chapters mainly as the main author, and also involves as a technical committee member of nearly 200 international scientific conferences. He is often invited to share his research experiences at various international conferences held in Malaysia, Laos, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Pakistan, The Philippines, and PR China. In addition, he is an evaluator for research proposals from different ministries/agencies locally as well as from several international scientific bodies in the USA, Oman, Qatar, Kazakhstan, and Chile. He is also an expert panel of the Department of Environment Malaysia for the evaluation of Environmental Impact Assessment reports for various proposed commercial projects related to petrochemical complexes, paper mills, metal smelting, chemical, lead-acid battery recycling plants, etc. He is one of the recipients of the Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM) award in 2014 and was listed in the List of World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University in 2020-2024. Hish-index (Scopus) currently stands at 65 with more than 14,000 citations.
Prof. Xinman Tu
Nanchang Hangkong University, China
Biography:Xinman Tu holds the rank of Level-II Professor and serves as a Ph.D. supervisor. He has been honored with several prestigious distinctions, including being selected for the Ministry of Education’s Program for New Century Excellent Talents, designated as a Cultivation Candidate for Young Scientists in Jiangxi Province, enrolled in the “Million Talents Program” ofJiangxi Province, recognized as a Jiangxi Young Jinggang Scholar, chosen for the “Hundred Talents Voyage Program” ofJiangxi Province, designated as a Key Teacher among Middle-aged and Young Faculty in Jiangxi Province, and awarded a special government allowance from the Jiangxi Provincial Government. His current research and teaching endeavorsrevolve around the detection, treatment, and resource recovery technologies of persistent pollutants in aquatic environments. Over the past few years, he has spearheaded more than 20 national and provincial projects, encompassing five grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a subproject under the National 863 Program, key projects funded by the Natural Science Foundation ofJiangxi Province, andKeyResearch andDevelopmentProgramsof Jiangxi Province. His research accomplishments have been recognized with numerous awards, such as the Invention and Entrepreneurship Award (Individual), one China Industry-University-Research Cooperative Innovation Award, one First Prize for Science and Technology Progress Award in Jiangxi Province, two First Prizes for Science and Technology Award in China’s Nonferrous Metals Industry, one Second Prize for Invention and Innovation Award from the China AssociationofInventions, and one Third Prize for Natural ScienceAward in Jiangxi Province. He has authored over 100 SCI-indexed papers and has been granted 21 invention patents, two of which are international. Furthermore, he has edited two textbooks and co-authored an English-language monograph.
Prof. Zhengkui Li
Nanjing University, China
Biography: Zhengkui Li, a full professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of the Environment at Nanjing University, graduated from its Department of Chemistry in 1982 and subsequently completed his PhD studies at the Nanjing Institute of Geography & Limnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, between 1997 and 2000. Between 1995 and 1996, he served as a visiting scholar at both the Technical University of Berlin and Leipzig University in the Federal Republic of Germany. His primary research interests encompass the photocatalytic degradation of emerging contaminants and ecological engineering methodologies for water treatment. He has led numerous projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key Basic Research Program, and significant water pollution control initiatives spanning the National 11th to 13th Five-Year Plans. Boasting over 50 research articles in SCI Zones I, II, and III, as well as 40 articles in Chinese core journals to his credit, he holds 35 authorized national patents. Professor Li is recognized as an expert in the National Science and Technology Award Expert Database, a reviewer for innovative talent evaluations at the Ministry of Science and Technology, and a peer reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He also serves as an expert in the science and technology departments of the Anhui, Hebei, Shandong, Guizhou, Guangdong, and Fujian provinces.
Assoc. Prof. Mohd Razif Harun

Biography: Dr. Razif Harun is an associate professor at the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He received his Doctorate Degree (PhD) from Monash University, Australia. His background in microalgae bioprospecting, biochemical engineering and renewable energy. After his PhD, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Laboratoire Laboratoire de Biotechnologie de l'Environ in Narbonne, France, for 2 years on microalgae-related projects. He has published more than 70 publications in international refereed journals, 20 publications in conference proceedings, and 8 chapters in scientific books, 2 copyrights, and 1 Patent. He received Vice-Chancellor Award for young academia in 2016 and several other awards including publication and innovation. As of December 2021, more than MYR1million research grants related to microalgae projects has been granted from public and international agencies. He has been actively involved in consultation projects with some industries related to microalgae such as carbon capture and storage using microalgae with Tenaga Nasional Research Sdn. Bhd. His current research interest on developing a low cost and high energy efficiency for cultivation of microalgae, extracting various bioproducts from microalgae biomass including DHA, EPA and amino acids, and integrating microalgae with aquaculture industries.

Prof. Baoyou Liu

Biography: Baoyou Liu, male, born in February 1973, holds a doctoral degree and is a professor. He is also a master's supervisor in Environmental Science and Engineering at Hebei University of Science and Technology. In terms of environmental monitoring and environmental remediation, he has mainly carried out research on the remediation and treatment technology of SO2, NOx, CO2, NH3 and VOC in the atmosphere, the remediation technology of heavy metals such as copper, cadmium, lead and zinc in the soil, and the monitoring technology of typical environmental pollutants. As the first author or corresponding author, he has published more than 20 research papers in critical reviews in environmental science and technology, separation and purification technology, ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING SCIENCE, Journal of Safety and Environment and other domestic and foreign journals, including 7 SCI search papers, including 2 SCI Chinese Academy of Sciences Zone 1 papers, and 6 Chinese invention patents have been authorized.
Assis. Prof. Nirban Laskar
Mizoram University, Aizawl, India
Biography: Dr. Nirban Laskar is an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Mizoram University, India. Prior to this position, he was a faculty member at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Mizoram from February 2018 to December 2019. Dr. Laskar completed his PhD at NIT Silchar, focusing on consultancy and laboratory works, from September 2014 to January 2018. In addition to his academic endeavors, Dr. Laskar has been actively involved in various consultation projects that highlight his expertise in civil engineering. His significant contributions include third-party monitoring of academic buildings and hostels at Mizoram University, conducting structural safety inspections, and participating in the Jal Jeevan Mission. He has also played a key role in several irrigation minor projects.
